OB 7

One of our flagships

Born from an innovative project by our R&D department that lasted two years, OB7 is a next-generation OB van with a surface area of 85 sqm. It features three access points, two video control rooms, and two audio rooms, allowing it to independently and simultaneously manage two different productions (onboard Host signal and national integration).

All areas are equipped with UHD HDR Multireview, and the van can host up to 34 Grass Valley LDX86N 4K Native cameras

OB7 is the first in Italy to feature two UHD HDR WCG workstations.

Its most cutting-edge feature is the provision of services related to cloud computing and network delivery, managed and connected directly from the mobile infrastructure and adaptable to client needs.

Encoding and decoding processes are integrated into the OB van’s core, creating a virtual sharing line between the OB van and the end user, who can interact directly with the live content through the distribution platform interface.
OB7 is the bridge between the traditional concept of OB vans and the most innovative services in the television production market.

With OB7, NVP becomes the only company in Italy to own three UHD units.

“The jewel twins of the fleet"

The flagship of our fleet, OBvan 4 and OBvan 6 are two twin triple-expansion OBvans, capable of hosting up to 28 LDX86 4K HDR WCG cameras, Dolby E audio, 12 replay stations and 6 Producer stations.

Equipped with two internal video and two internal audio control rooms with completely separate signal management, these OBvans are able to provide both the Host signal and the national integration on board for each type of production.

Born from a long, expensive and ambitious project, “the two twins” are undoubtedly among the most cutting-edge mobile control rooms in the world.
